The three-star hotel where we will stay for five nights on a bed-and-breakfast basis is the Damson Deen
at Crosthwaite, near Bowness-on-Windermere. Visits will include the homes of William Wordsworth, John Ruskin
and Beatrix Potter (NT), Sizergh Castle (NT), Levens Hall where we will have a private guided tour, Blackwell
House and the Abbot Hall Art Gallery in Kendal. There will be boat trips on Lake Windermere and Coniston Water.
On our way to the Lakes, we will stop at Compton Verney in Warwickshire where we can have lunch, and on the way
home our lunch break will be at Little Moreton Hall (NT) in Cheshire.

Holiday to Bulgaria, 19-24 September 2012
Our holiday abroad in 2012 will be in Bulgaria, an unspoilt and largely undiscovered country, quite
unlike its neighbours. Bulgaria possesses wonderful natural beauty as well as a wealth of historical
monuments covering Thracian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Turk occupation.
